ASYE (Adults) core skills programme

The GMSWA coordinates the ASYE programme for Adults Social Work across Greater Manchester. Together with all local authority partners and training collaborator Griffin Care, we have developed a blended learning programme for all our Newly Qualified Social Workers.  We have several cohorts running throughout the year. Each cohort includes face to face and online training over 3 days. Each session covers a wide range of topics pertinent in Adult Social Care such as Mental Capacity, Care Act – assessment, support planning, Safeguarding Adults and legal frameworks. Each session provides focussed content and case studies aimed supporting the development and skills set of new social workers in their early careers across region.  GMSWA have a workforce network group which consists of Principle Social Workers, Workforce Development Leads and Practice Consultants from our partners agencies. This groups support the coordination and development of this programme, and models the implementation of this programme around the needs of our Newly Qualified Social Workers.

Dates to be announced shortly. For further information, please see our brochure.
