Tameside Council offers a range of placements within both Children’s and Adult’s Services to enable progression along the PCF during qualifying courses. Placements are organised in collaboration with University partners and our Workforce Development Leads. Students will have a thorough induction devised by Practice Educators. They will gain experience in using case management systems, multi-agency working, and completing statutory social work tasks so that they are ready to register with Social Work England upon completion of their degree.
As a Council, we strive to be a learning organisation embracing; we value our committed and passionate workforce and work in partnership within both Children’s and Adult’s services to provide the best possible services, and meet the desired outcomes for the people that we support.
Tameside Council offers placements to all our Greater Manchester Universities. We support Social Work Apprenticeships, Step Up Programmes, Frontline (Children’s) and traditional BA/MA routes into social work.
